Ways to Donate

Your donation to the Urban League of San Diego County can be by check, credit card, stock gifts, other securities, planned gifts, real estate, or in a plan that works for you.

Contribute via a check, credit card, or by wire transfer from your bank - Contributions are fully deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law for the year in which you make the contribution. When wiring a contribution, contact our office to obtain the wire transfer information needed by your bank.

Contribute stock or other securities - You may claim a tax deduction for the full market value of appreciated stock, bonds, and other kinds of securities that you have held for over a year.

Contribute via an Employee Matching Gift Program - Many employers will match charitable donations made by their employees (often on a 2:1 or 3:1 basis). Contact the Human Resources or Public Affairs office at your work and find out if your employer offers such a program.

Consider a Planned Gift - Name the Urban League of San Diego County and receive a one-time fixed dollar amount or a percentage of your estate. You can specify that, after other beneficiaries are given fixed amounts, the National Urban League receive the remaining assets.

Contribute in other ways - Consider contributing a life insurance policy, establishing a charitable trust, donating real estate or personal property, or taking advantage of the sale of a company.

President's Circle

The Urban League of San Diego County has established the President’s Circle to acknowledge, honor and reward those dedicated philanthropists who share our vision of overcoming the persistent inequities that weaken our region and diminish the lives of thousands. As a member of the President’s Circle, you will be invited to complimentary special events and receive free subscriptions to organization publications, and other gifts. In addition, you will receive recognition through multiple platforms, including our annual report.
